About us

At Chris Rippy Inspections, we bring over 20 years of experience in property inspections, and we understand just how exciting and sometimes overwhelming buying a home can be. A home is one of the most important and milestone investments you’ll ever make, and we’re here to help you move forward with confidence by giving you a clear, honest understanding of its condition.

We look at property inspections a little differently — because to us, it’s not just about the house. It’s about the people. We see families taking a big step, sometimes buying their very first home, unsure of what to expect and trusting a stranger to guide them. We never take that trust lightly.

All of our inspectors are certified through the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) www.nachi.org, the world’s leading organization for home inspectors. In addition to their certifications, our inspectors bring years of hands-on experience in the industry. They’ve built, repaired, and studied homes inside and out and they stay sharp with ongoing education so they can spot issues others might miss and answer any questions you have, before, during, and after your inspection.

We are proud to have earned the trust of thousands of top-producing agents across Southern California, and even prouder to serve first-time buyers, seasoned homeowners, relocating families, investors, small business owners and developers. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
We can’t wait to meet you, earn your trust, and be a part of your homeownership journey.

“Every strong wall starts with a single brick, laid with care and purpose. Our commitment and integrity are the bricks that build lasting trust with every client we serve.”

Drone Technology

Why We Use Drone Technology for Certain Roof Inspections

Your safety and the integrity of your property are our top priorities. Some types of roofs simply aren’t safe to walk on during an inspection, and it’s important to protect both the home and our inspectors. Here's why:

  • Concrete/Clay Tile Roofs: While strong overall, individual concrete tiles are surprisingly fragile under direct pressure. Walking on them can cause cracking, breakage, or displacement, leading to costly repairs.

  • Metal Roofs: Metal roofing can be extremely slippery, even when dry. Walking on metal surfaces not only poses a serious fall risk but can also dent or damage the panels, especially with softer metals like aluminum.

  • High-Pitched Roofs: Steeply pitched roofs present a significant safety hazard for inspectors. Even with safety equipment, the risk of slips, falls, and serious injury is too great to justify walking directly on these surfaces.

Our Solution: Advanced Drone Technology

To safely and thoroughly inspect these types of roofs, we use high-resolution drone technology. Drones allow us to capture detailed images and video footage of the entire roof — even hard-to-reach areas — without ever stepping foot on it.

This approach protects the roof from accidental damage, ensures the inspector’s safety, and provides a clear, comprehensive view of the roof's condition. In many cases, drone inspections can even reveal small issues that might be missed during a traditional walk inspection.

We combine traditional expertise with modern technology to deliver the most thorough and responsible inspections possible — because we believe in doing the job right, without compromise.
